For Parents

We all want the best for our kids, so seeing them struggle can be a real cause for concern. If you have any worries about your child’s ability to speak, hear, understand or communicate effectively, further assessment can be tremendously helpful.

If your child isn’t hearing well, he could be missing out important information, which could hinder his development. Other children might not include him in play, while teachers may mistake his hearing loss as a learning disability.

There are lots of problems that can result from undetected hearing loss. That’s why early detection is key to finding solutions to help him function to the best of his abilities when it comes to hearing.

Maybe you are concerned that your child isn’t reaching important speech milestones on time, or she’s struggling with reading and isn’t keeping up with her peers.  Perhaps she stutters, or has been diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder. A speech and language assessment can help determine if your child could benefit from therapy sessions. After the assessment, we can design a plan specifically targeted to address your child’s challenges.

Chorus sessions
are relevant to your needs

For those of you familiar with Ontario’s new education agenda since 2013, we also incorporate the 6C’s into our therapy sessions in order to prepare children for school and future success. The 6C’s are character, citizenship, communication, critical thinking and problem solving, collaboration and teamwork, and creativity and imagination.

Communicating effectively is essential for success in life.  That’s why early detection and treatment of communication difficulties is so important. You want the best for your kids and you want them to be off to a flying start in life. And as parents of three children, we can relate. We’re here to help ensure that your child will get the help they need.
